Qinaus is a contemporary oil painter based in San Francisco, California.

She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and spent a decade working as a product manager at major technology companies.

Her primary artistic mediums are painting and film.

In her artistic practice, Qinaus explores how complex states of consciousness and patterns of human behavior can be translated into visual structures. Her work is guided by a central question:

What can only be seen from the threshold?

Her paintings investigate experiences that exist at moments of transition and between states of being—conscious and unconscious, past and future, dream and reality, observer and observed. Within these intersections, perception, memory, and choice are transformed into symbolic visual languages, emerging as ever-shifting relationships and forces.
